EXTRA CALM TINCTURE ••• double extraction for full relaxation and deep sleep

It took about a year of experimenting to find the right blend of herbs for this formula (maybe that’s why there are so many ingredients!).

Like so many people, I live a very busy, often stressful, life, and sometimes my sleep and sanity suffer. I originally created a blend with about half of these ingredients and simply called it “Calm” — and it worked, but not as well as this formula has.

During intensely stressful times, I carry the bottle with me and take a dropperful a few times a day.

It is also extremely helpful to take 1-2 droppers before bed if you are feeling restless and need help unwinding. You can also keep it by your bedside and take it if you are someone who wakes up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep and don’t want the foggy hangover the next day.

If you are sensitive to valerian (some people can simply fall asleep midday after taking it), best to reserve Extra Calm for nighttime use.

Listing is for 1 oz amber bottle.

INGREDIENTS: Valerian, lavender, passionflower, holy basil, ashwagandha, catnip, skullcap, lobelia, motherwort, alcohol.

DOSAGE: 1-2 dropperfuls in the evening or as needed throughout the day in acute situations. (Each “dropper” is about 20-30 drops.)

Tinctures are perhaps the most convenient herbal remedies for traveling and can be carried on a plane or tucked into a bag or purse :) I macerate herbs in alcohol or glycerin for several weeks, choosing specific times to start and strain based on astrological signatures.
