Services
For YouTubers, podcasters, artists, lecturers, and anyone who already records long-form content but doesn’t want to spend hours cutting it into shorts. You know you “should be posting short-form,” but it can pull you away from your actual work. Let me help to remove the friction!
You provide: One full-length video (YouTube, podcast, lecture, Substack video, Zoom recording, etc.). 20-60 minutes recommended for best results. Longer videos may require custom pricing.
I deliver: 8-20 vertical (9:16) clips, each 15-60 seconds, for posting as Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, etc. Clips include clean, readable burned-in captions by default. Additional customization (fonts, colors, emphasis styling) available on request. You will receive the finished clips as MP4 files within 7 days and can upload them over time.
All packages include one light revision round (timing or text adjustments).

VIDEO EDITING FOR CREATORS
For nonprofits, cultural centers, arts organizations, universities, museums, and businesses producing content. Sometimes your mission is strong, but your writing isn’t carrying it. I am a professional editor who understands editorial systems, work in arts and culture, and can speak to both writer and organization.
I will help you to get your written communication to sound coherent, intentional, and aligned across places, including newsletters, email campaigns, website copy (including About and Mission pages), event listings and descriptions, press releases, social media captions, program descriptions, etc.
I will review a small set of your materials (newsletter, website, recent emails, a few socials), identify inconsistencies and weak spots, clarify your editorial voice, and deliver practical guidance you can actually use. No ongoing obligation unless requested.
Editorial Clarity Audit
$400
Includes review of website copy, 1 newsletter / publication, 1-2 email campaigns or recent social captions
You will receive a tone & voice document (this answers: How do we sound? What do we care about? What do we avoid? How should writers talk to our audience?) and a written report covering what’s working, what’s muddy, how to tighten voice and tone, 2-3 sample rewrites of your actual copy.
EDITORIAL CLARITY AUDIT
“Lauren is as sharp and talented an editor as I’ve worked with anywhere. We collaborated often at both The Frederick News-Post and Baltimore magazine and I trust her as my go-to first read for 5,000-word investigative stories as much as I do shorter arts and culture pieces and profiles of politicians. She is the best copy editor and proofreader I know, possesses a well developed and creative sense of design, and is a highly organized professional. I cannot recommend her work strongly enough for any writing, editing, or design position.”
—Ron Cassie, senior editor at Baltimore magazine
“Freelancing for Lauren was an invaluable professional learning experience. Her shrewd editorial insight helped me conceptualize and build well-developed stories across a variety of topics such as arts and entertainment, environmental, and interview pieces. Brainstorming was easy, as she cultivated a collaborative and nurturing atmosphere and was always available to lend her journalistic sensibility for brainstorming when I pitched stories. Lauren has a discerning eye for innovative and timely story ideas. Her encouragement to dig deeper to enrich my reporting and leave no stone unturned helped guide and inform the direction of my writing. She is open-minded, approachable, and thorough.”
—Megan Parker, writer
“Whether she was finding new ways to cover topics in the realm of art, music, and film, or being a positive force of feedback and editorial support for my novel and other writings, Lauren has been an invaluable ally in all things literary.”
—Clark Kline, novelist and filmmaker
