Purple dead nettle is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, and a diuretic, rich in vitamins A, C, and K and iron.
It can be used during the spring allergy season to help with symptoms and inflammation … and nature knows, as purple dead nettle is one of the first “weeds” to sprout up in the spring!
I think of it as stinging nettle’s little sister … though they’re not related, they have similar properties, stinging nettle being the stronger of the two and packing in a higher dose of nutrients. But you can collect dead nettle without wearing gloves ;)
